We regularly visit the Traverse area and all the various wineries to find delicious treasures but without question Longview is our favorite. The Longview Red, Port and Ice are our favorites. I love to grill a NY Strip and enjoy a glass of their Red with it and then have a glass of the Port for a finish. We also celebrate very special occasions with the Ice. It is so smooth and really amazing. Neither of us has ever enjoyed a glass of wine so much. It is expensive but worth every drop for those really special events in life. If you try a bottle and don't like it...call me, I will be glad to come finish it for you! We have been going there the last 3 years and already planning a trip in May '10. Alan is a great host at the winery. Thanks Longview!! My wife and I love Longview. Last year we bought the final two cases of 2006 and we made a special trip up in Feb.to see you and we tried the 2007 of course we could't leave without getting a case. I must say it's the BEST yet, as a matter of fact we only have 4 bottles left and it's only been 4 weeks. We'll be up the end of April (camp is opening) see you then. Our 1st visit ever, on 2/29/08 was excellent. Great memories that we hope to duplicate again on our next visit in April. We still cant beleive that you have tastings available (even if, for a small fee) for your ice wine...as I had told you, I've never tasted an ice wine and I am hooked! We will certainly be back and I have to say that the Ribs and Salads at the resturant were the "BEST" I've ever tasted...and I'm a BBQ freak! My only regret is that we didnt get the vintners autograph on our ice wine and reisling bottles...next time OK?
